  2. I bumped into some old get in matchmaking while playing BB1. He was named @Hobnail and after a pleasant match he suggested I give this a try. Ive met a number of coaches from here IRL at table top tournaments since then and Im always disappointed that theyre less handsome than their avatars... Ive done plenty of seasons here, admind until I nearly died, invited plenty of new folks in... even had a guest spot on a hip hop track while here... So in conclusion; its all Hobnails fault.

    You still playing?

  6. I keep my own spreadsheet for all of my teams where I keep track of all of their stats. This allows me to keep track of past players and where they were on their stats before they died or were retired, etc.

  9. Hello, Im fairly new to the Blood bowl community. I just got it back in early September. This is my second season of OCC, Im pretty good at going through the theoretical decisions of each turn and making good plays throughout the match. However, I think one of my biggest problems might be positioning along with defensive kick off. Another thing I know Im struggling with is cage diving, but due to my team this season, I don't believe that will be an big issue (kislev). Any help would be very much appreciated. Yours truly, EffexTalon

2 Season old Pro/Union Elf Pro-Elf, yes I'm old fashion and it works with the little humor I have. The picture represent the game in MD7, where we went to visit some Necro stadium. It was to be my first game that Leap actually worked, amazing it felt Team S3 = OCC S18 Pre-Game: Away Stadium Squig and Sandwich, so no rocks and no Ref trouble. Inducement: Wiz for the home team! Was quite not looking forward to this game, as the other wolf team scared me a bit. In Game: So we win the toss, and decided to receive. Did the usual thing move up to score fast, pro as we are. Wolfs with their speed and killer eyes no, we want to make this quick. But a missclick with the wolf made the blitz not done, changed my mind. So I stalled it out one turn Tried to hit the devil with the big claw and fearsome blows (mighty at least). But as usually our tiny fists hurts less. They went to threat the ball, of course, so without risks we blocked some and blitz some and scored some. 1-0 So defense, did the normal. Went done some times, endured the storm of blows, went down for sure but. And it was time for the Ghoul with sour hands, yes they were, to get the ball, but he did not. Turnover and not much of protection made me go bananas and caged up in close quarters, just in case. Thunder! No but almost. The fire of balls came in from.. the stand and smacked down 2 out of 4 and still the ballkepper stood there, with a icy glare. So the charge came in, and no, it did not, as a Zombie should do the normal routine killing some elfs, saw to his surprise double skulls.. and the RR did not help.. skull it was and Turnover again. I moved to safety and stayed there for a turn. The blitz finally came and took out my poor lino, I just made some blocks and scored. 2-0 Defense 2, made the normal, and the normal happened. Not totally offensive position by the Necros but ok, so I moved to cover some gaps, blitz some and LEAPED over the Firm standing Golems, to give the ghoul with the ball standing alone a high 5, he did not high 5 back but ok. So I also managed to mark the bad wolf, and trying to hunt some juicy other target he found him self downed with a tackling foot. Another tunrover and I gave the leaping blitzer one assist and blitz him home settling 3-0. Defense 4 1 turn left, not much happened. Second half. Defense 5 Normal moves by them. Normal moves by me, including a foul that did nothing. Charge forward with handover and catch trying to solo away, but my speedy team catch him and leap works again dropping him down. Ball almost at the side line No attempt to get the ball, as blitz failed the side stepper, and covered the ball instead. My turn and I decide to try the 3+ pick up made it, and runs forward passing the ball running for the 4-0 Defense 6 They setup do the normal and I protect doing it to the side. Opening up a bit and they run in the gap. I try to defense but focus more to protect my dudes, fouling out the bad wolf. They score 4-1. Last turns and I move up and do the pass the following turn 5-1. Amazing game, some bad dice there, sorry for that. Thanks for that game mat @favouredzpv Post Game: Winning rolled 4, FF stable. Running Roster activities No skills for a change, and well no doubles again.. HAHA Team Skill Rolls 32: 94% Normal 1: 5+5 , picked Double 1: 6+4 Now everything can happen! 15. Well I for sure could not help but like your "1", as I like your presence and your company even though I tested another team for a change instead of doing something even worse. It is quite refreshing to try the other side for a change. Experience new skills and stuff, I have not seen vamps in BB3 yet but when that happens it's an easy choice as it was when they arrived to BB2.
  16. Thx for the insights and advices. I think this should be managable for me - so count me in, if you like :)

  18. My advise is to join the team but don't over commit yourself. First season roll with the team, take care of one of the easy assignments that your normal schedule allows you to work with (to post MD threads you have to be able to ditch 1 hour or so on Sunday mornings, to close the match day requires to be 100% available around midnight for Tuesdays or very early Wednesdays). You will certainly be teamed up with one or more other red suits, so should be able to cover each other's bases if needed. I would not go into side competitions because you really don't know how much time it will be for you, so better to leave that for upcoming seasons. The most important thing, however, is to have the forum open on a tab and check it regularly. The web works well so whenever you get a DM or your tier admin forum receives an update from a fellow, you should be able to reply on a daily basis. Because sometimes it requires to make important decisions in a snap of time - like deciding the result of an unplayed game right before having to roll over the match day for the next week.
  19. Hello Who should I contact to order one set of Yellow Suit? Thank you very much. Have a nice day.
  20. md8 against norse not sure what happened. well, i know. but really wierd. we scored once. we scored twice. we scored thrice. in the end norse also scored, once. we took 6 cas. managed to do 3. and we had a rock on the yhetee turn 1 (apod). game ended 3-1. Borke leveled up and took mb. Bouffon leveled up and took sidestep. Breschdleng leveled up and havent picked skill yet.
  21. Most weeks you're unlikely to spend more than an hour on your admin duties. Season start and season end can take a bit more, and occasionally there are unforeseen events that take up your time, like a conflict over a match result. You also need to check in on our forums, and preferably our discord, regularly, in case something has popped up. Maybe some active redsuits can weigh in?
  22. It varies, if coaches behave and do what they should very little is required. Sometimes there’s problems and they can take time
  23. ORCA ONION NEWS AREA CHEERLEADER CONFUSED OVER BIZARRE HIRING PRACTICES Photo(shop) credit: Spanky McRat. Our star reporter, Nookum Blart, met earlier today with up-and-coming cheerleading talent Oomfa Poms to discuss a confusing hiring practice she recently experienced. She was hired to cheer for the Burnfell Compatriots but immediately fired again for no discernable reason. "I hadn't even turned up to the fist practice yet." Oomfa recounts how she was then immediately rehired, only to be fired again. But that was just the beginning of it all, because this proceeded to be repeated a total of seven times. "There was never any time to begin learning a routine. I feel like my talents were being wasted." The OON reached out to the Burnfell Compatriots' coach Burnie Burnfell for a comment. His only response was, and I quote: "Got bloody paid, didn't she?" Further enquiry with the disaffected cheerleader showed that to be correct. "Well, yes," says Oomfa, "they did pay me an awful lot of gold. Several seasons worth of pay, in fact. But without having cheered for it, it all feels so empty. Besides, this isn't an isolated incident. Lots of my friends have experienced it. It's almost like it's more common than being hired to actually cheer. And I hear it happens to assistant coaches too. I mean, no one likes goblins, but that's just awful, isn't it?" With further digging, Nookum Blart has uncovered what appears to be an epidemic of these strange rubber band hirings, though as of yet he has been unable to discover their purpose. Could this be some scheme by the cheerleader's union or perhaps some form of creative tax evasion? More on this story from OON as we dig deeper. *** You can find more ORCA ONION NEWS by clicking the tag.
  24. I am willing to help, but need to know first, how many hours per week I would have to consider
  25. That IS rough. But pulling out a win vs. Raspel is pretty impressive, given the state of your team, versus his insane blodging sauruses. That is too bad about Lucky, I might have kept him with MA5, given that you have +MA pieces to make up for it, but it's a tough call, because MA5 is soooo slow.
  26. Before i joined OCC admins i was below average coach with no knowledge how anything works. On my very first day i woke up enlightened and everything has been clear ever since. After just two weeks i had lost 14 pounds and im still getting results after two seasons. My dice rolling has been upgraded and now my team wont roll single 1's! And i only had to sacrifice my soul to OCC and donate my back for constant whipping. This is so good deal that 5/5 dentists recommend it! What are you waiting for?
  27. New year, new season! Season 19 starts on January 06, but we have plenty to do over the holiday period to be ready for that.
  28. Awesome! Assuming you would like to join the Tier Admin crew, @Mongloom will contact you.
