Not sure if we can seed play-offs, but if we can first place teams will play second play teams in the first round, and teams from the same group will be on opposite halves of the play-off tree.

New season when?

Well, the OCC is currently on a little break. Warhammer Blood Bowl is going to come "this spring" (as announced e.g. on Steam), and between now and then, we don't think we'd have time for a complete season. Likewise, ending a season prematurely is not something we wanted to do.

And therefore, because we want to start into a new season right away, as soon as Warhammer Blood Bowl launches, we are taking this time off, preparing, plotting, and prodding the clock for time to move faster.

So, what can you expect when Warhammer Blood Bowl drops?

1) The OCC will be back, baby!!

2) We will start into the new ruleset fresh, only new teams allowed.

3) We will start with a "Seeding tournament" which will probably consist of two stages: Stage 1 being played in smaller groups and then stage 2 being played in bigger groups. The results of stage 2 will determine where your team starts in the first season.

4) The "New OCC", which starts with that first season, will basically work like the OCC you know now - except with the new Blood Bowl rules and redraft.

5) We will also try to make the "New OCC" "wider" again, i.e. having more divisions per tier. In order to achieve this, we will try to recruit more coaches to the OCC when the time comes.

More information will follow at a later time. In particular the details of the redraft as well as any other important changes will be explained at the appropriate time.

Why do  we make this change?

To avoid having having very high TV teams facing fairly new teams and to protect teams from themselves if they are very successful early on.

It's still going to happen, but hopefully less often.

What is a bonus promotion?

A vacant spot in a tier due to someone re-rolling to a new team or taking a break. The slot needs to be filled so someone gets moved up, thus the term bonus promotion.

Season 3 starts: November 27th

This bug affects the OCC Season 2 from match day 3 onwards. Starting with match day 3, you might be matched up with a coach you already faced on match days 1 or 2.

We are very sorry that your season will be affected by this problem, but we see no way around it. Please proceed playing your matches of OCC Season 2 as they have been assigned by the game.

We are aware that this causes imbalance within each division. You might face a particularly nasty team twice, or you might lose twice to the same Skaven one-turner. We will all have to live with the bug for this one season.

It's out of our hands currently, so until Cyanide fixes things we can't do much.

They did randomize the schedule (good thing) but didn't give us the ability to see the schedule in advance (bad thing).
