There were no GFI involved, in either of the 2 cases I experienced yesterday. Indeed, the AI usually suggests taking dodges ofver GFI's, but in my experiences yesterday I had free paths and no need for GFI, yet the AI still suggested a route with dodges.
I'll try to illustrate what happened yesterday. O = opponent's players, A is the player I want to move (he has MA6), F = friendly players, d = destination of my player A.
-O-----
-O---A-
-d-F---
---F---
-------
-------
Normal route, only 5 MA needed and no dodges:
-O-----
-O---A-
-d-F*--
--*F*--
---*---
-------
This is what the AI suggested:
-O-----
-O***A-
-d-F---
---F---
-------
-------
Second example was this:
Player A with MA6 wants to move to d. Easy, since no GFI or dodges involved!
---d--
---*--
---*--
--*---
-*F---
-*-O--
-A----
------
AI likes to complicates things a bit, suggesting I take this route:
---d--
---*--
---*--
---*--
--F*--
--*O--
-A----
------
Really, something has changed in suggested pathing. This never used to happen before CE.
I deselected and reselected the suggested routes a few times, but the AI always came up with the dangerous ones. At first you think "huh am I missing something here?" but it really is a bug.
