@Kia Sidhe What's with all this written out lyrical stuff?

This thread is meant for music?

If somebody doesn't even bother to listen to you about the music you're shouting at them, it's on them to listen to you?

It's not on you to shout it t them?

A helping hand perhaps? If I want to point out something thematically I´m posting. Besides we got members here from a lot of different countries & languages, some might be struggling with English you know.

  2. Another event to celebrate, the fall of the Berlin Wall. It´s been 30 years now. What has changed? Has the Cold War really ended? For the last 2 days I´ve trained a Russian at work, kind of a funny coincidence. He´s a semi professional hockey player & we have had a lot to talk about. :) Like The Big Red Machine or the Russian Five.

Ebba Grön - Die Mauer (82) (not my translation of the lyrics)

    Halt!
    No one may pass here
No one will ever get through
    Nobody's ever getting past here
So turn around and leave if you'd like to live

Over the barbed wire I saw my soulmate
    Susanne standing and gesticulate
I have walked here over 20 years soon
But with a machine gun it's hard to discuss

I walked slowly homewards, homewards that evening, should I get to see you again
brain ached, heart ached, should I be whole again?
One day it stood, it was just standing there, a wall between me and the one I hold dear
We live two blocks from each other, but a grey dot is all I see of Susanne

We ought to live here We ought to live here We ought to live here We ought to live here

All the beautiful roses are wet, off the blood from your holy Crusade
I will never forgive, That which happend at the wall
I have considered goddamn much, much for an escape, I want to see her body, I want to stroke her skin
Hear her voice, Be close to her I shall whisper in her ear...

We ought to live here We ought to live here We ought to live here We ought to live here

Yes I know, I know exactly how to I fly over your wall
Oh, I know, Oh I know I know exactly how
I'll be the acid spy I'll do what you want
I know exactly how I know exactly how I know exactly how

We ought to live here we ought to live here, we ought to live, live here (solo saxophone)

  3. Some songs for a happy? weekend.

Final 60s tune(?) 3 chords most famous mayhem? :)

70s!!! Well, Deep Purple is on another level. (Watch Ritchie Blackmore squeezing strings live) Followed by the happiest drummer in the world(The Undertones) & Talking Heads classic.

    Love Blondie

Some Swedish Lord of the Rings, into the weekend mist. Bo Hansson, some dudes gave him a keyboard as adult. He had no education what so ever. He & Janne Carlsson later jammed with Jimi Hendrix!

  4. I´m in the camp where "less is more". When I painted minis I tried to keep it basic like 3 colors I knew works together, maybe more on some smaller details.
What you got here is mainly armour, some skin & some cloth. That´s 3 colors with some nice highlights added later. Hair can come in many variations, but I guess Grey highlighted with White may make an impact on black skin tone.

Greebo’s Obsidian Dusk Dark Elves doesn´t look to be some of the easier models to paint either to be fair.

(I tried to paint some Dark Elves with their "traditional" Warhammer Purple, but to be honest I failed despite having some experience. Purple might work on smaller details of cloth, or an all covering dress of Morathi something. But I learned to try to not use Purple at all. But it´s also a matter of taste mind you)

  5. I don´t get this Halloween-shit? It´s all about money. For me it´s still All Saints Day. You visit some graves of your relatives & close ones, light some candles, take some sips of spirits & pour half of it at the graves. *edit* I guess this video shows peeps from Día de Muertos(Mexico)

  6. Happy weekend everybody! (Yes, I´ve somewhat returned to the 60s)
Great song & a great movie. Even Jimmy Page appears on this, but Big Jim Sullivan played lead guitar.

    "The company was gay...?"

Some Social Realism perhaps? Why did all my Hard Rocking Friends end up listening to this? (Despite fighting Synth Peeps on the School Yard back in the days)

Some more European Social Realism for the weekend? (You may have fun without Alcohol?)

Bang! Bang! Bang! Love! Love! Love!

Sweet Leaf... I´m green as f**k, Greta(the Eco Terrorist)

    It´s pretty simple: Jazz -> Blues -> Rock -> …

Gosh! Energy! I missed them performing live because I was drunk & with a friend of mine(almost the only female one that really made me laugh) Somewhat out of tune this one. Great Drummer, Background Vocalists & Rapper. Where did they go?

Female Vocalists? Ella Ella Ella my man. As far as I know she didn´t write a single song, despite producing 50+ records. Kate Ryan is kind of vulgar though…

Some Swedish Gospel & Soul from the 60s perhaps? Classy! The greatest voice of the decade at least.

    Google Translate:
Such is life, such is life
    So much falsehood lives this
The one who loses wins another
So hold on to the friend you love

He in the spring, like a spring wind
He got my love and everything he took
But then came the fall, oh that love,
he swore was eternal, just died

Such is life, such is life
    So much falsehood lives this
The one who loses wins another
So hold on to the friend you love

He got another one, I've seen them.
He seems happy and she is young
What I've learned is just this,
When the heart is burning, sing oh sing

Such is life, such is life
    So much falsehood lives this
The one who loses wins another
So hold on to the friend you love

Our lives are poor, without love

I got another one who loves me
His old love, got the basket
She's probably wondering who I am.

    I think I need a vacation?

Some good old Russian Heavy Metal?

  7. Found this pearl on YT. I´m not very much into the Legend of Arthur, despite I´ve been playing Fantasy RPGs quite a lot. Although I´ve read the Mists of Avalon, that takes on the Legend from Morgaine le Fay´s perspective. (Morgan le Fay & Mordred are almost always portrayed as "retards" in other popular culture)
In White Wolf´s Ars Magica: Faeries, Morgan le Fay is a Faery Queen of the Unseelie Court(Dark Elves(Dökkálfar, Norse Mythology))

The Seelie Court(Daoine Sidhe) & its mirror reflection(?) The Unseelie Court ---> Kia Sidhe :)

Anyway, in this video Morgaine le Fay sings a Lullaby to her son Mordred: :)

Hush, child, darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep, child.
Darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep.

    Guileless son,
    I'll shape your belief,
    and you'll always know
    that your father's a thief.
    And you won't understand
    the cause of your grief,
    but you'll always follow
    the voices beneath.

    Loyalty (x7) (Only to me!)

    Guileless son,
    your spirit will
    hate her.
    The flower who married
    my brother the traitor.
    And you will expose
    his puppeteer behavior,
    for you are the proof
    of how he betrayed
    her loyalty.

    Loyalty (x7) (Only to me!)

Hush, child, darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep, child.
Darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep.

    Guileless son,
    each day you grow older,
    each moment I'm watching
    my vengeance unfold.
    The child of my body,
    the flesh of my soul,
    will die in returning
    the birthright he stole.

    Loyalty (x7) (Only to me!)

Hush, child, darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep, child.
Darkness will rise from the deep,
and carry you down into sleep.

    Hold on tight, enter night.
    Sleep Well! :)
