  1. Or more likely one of us will reach Tier 1 and be unable to get a boot as for some reason the admins there have decided other things are more important than fouling.
  2. @Gobas I am now up to 8 boots. I notice this hasn't been updated now you are no longer No 1.
  3. I wouldn't bother with AG6. It does help with gazing when in a TZ and makes dodging through screens easy but vamps have so many other skills that they want.
  4. 2 takes on python in the same season. How am I supposed to pick the best between the Dead Parrot Sketch and the Lumberjack song? Have to vote for both I guess.
  5. Welcome back Weren't you in the Leeds area somewhere.
  6. Take the rat ogre. But if he dies and you have a Claw PO MB vermin then don't replace him.
  7. Killing 2 greensuits in 1 game and almost a -AV on a 3rd I see lots of claw chaos teams in @Juriel's future.

    Don't Panic

Just Necroing this thread to announce that after winning the OCC Championship the team moved over to BB Tactics and joined the Big Crunch 2 and have just taken the title. So the only pro elf team to win the OCC championship is also the only pro elf team to win the Big Crunch and they did it with a blitzer wearing a dressing gown and carrying a towel. Here is the roster for those wondering how elves can win. OCC was won with a MA10 sprint catcher and a couple of leap players and an AG5 legendary thrower. Big Crunch was won with lots of AG5 @jounisii I believe that puts me 2-0 up unless you have won a major title somewhere that I don't know about.
  9. I agree. I will almost always take a 3+ leap for a 50% chance of knocking the ball loose and at times will take a 3+ leap for a 2D against 25% chance. Also that leap won't be the last action of the turn as you need to leave a couple of players to do something about the loose ball. It also forces a good opponent to put 2 guard players at opposite corners of the cage which keeps them out of the action.
  10. Forget kicking the teammate as if you are at the halfway line you are better off just throwing him. However you do get an 7th ogre and a sure hands fling for 300K which isn't bad value for an Ogre team Wouldn't take him on a fling team though as Deeproot is better and goblins also have better options. Can't imagine any none stunty team wanting them either. Kick team mate is useful when trying a 1 turner but the ball lands too deep. You can now pass up to the LoS and then kick the ballcarrier towards the endzone as the kick is a blitz rather than a pass action. Needs a lot of dice to work though. Can't think of another reason to give up your blitz.
  11. I'd go for sidestep. The other option being tackle as you are rather short of that atm.
  12. I've taken a barge around the empire hunting out chaos corruption. Must have been nearly 30 years ago. Warhammer RPG was my favourite ruleset at the time.
  13. Knocked out twice without anyone blocking you. That may be a record. Great "acting" but you probably want to hire a better script writer.
  14. I need to learn to foul when the ref isn't watching. But I guess stat busting a bob is worth spending most of the match in the dugout.
  15. Good advice but I like how the person giving it doesn't have a single boot.
  16. I would skip the pogo. You want to keep your TV low so you can have 3 trolls and 2 fanatics though it will take a season or 2 for the TV difference to become large enough. For that reason the cheap stars stadium is the one to go for. Also sack gobbos that don't roll a double or +AG assuming you have the cash to replace.
  17. All 4 of the teams you suggested have won the OCC at some point so are more competitive than underworld. Nurgle are the most boring. Follow the standard cookie cutter build and in 10 seasons you will be up near the top. Only none cookie cutter build worth considering is leap on a pest for a wrackle cage breaker. Necro are the most competitive hybrid team at high TV but as with all hybrid teams take a lot of skill to play well. MB on a wolf is important as is +AG or +ST on the AG3 players. High elves take longer to get good than the other 3 elves but at high TV have the armour to survive and a great offence. Catchers and blitzers can level easily but it is the AV8 wrodge linemen that make them better than pro or woodies. Roll lots of doubles for guard and you have a great team. Pro elves have the best 2 turn offence in the game but need to be a lot more aggressive on defence than high elves. You can't just slow down the opponents for 7 turns and then form a screen in the way HE can as you won't have enough players left on the pitch to stop the grind. Choosing when to hunt the ballcarrier is key. Get it wrong and players die , get it right and you get the ball. Probably the hardest of the 4 teams to win the OCC with ( may just be saying that because I am the only one to have done it ).
  18. So I have just rolled a double 6 on a rookie fling. I already have a block ag5 fling , a block fling and 3 dirty players. So what should I take? Another DP seems like overkill Don't really need 3 block flings ST3 isn't much use Sure hands to make getting the ball to the star for the 1 turner easier. But that relies on the ball landing near this player Kick Return for the same reason Wrestle could be useful Tackle would go well with DT if he lives that long Kick as a failed pick up in the backfield can mean an easy score. Something else like mb or po for giggles.
  19. It would but not as the 1st skill. It takes a long time to get to 31 SPP without MB and PO.
  20. Lore wise isn't Bloodbowl set in a parallel universe to fantasy battle so Tomb Guardians being giant skelly's is fine. From a gaming point of view I think an apoth instead of regen is too powerful. Tomb guardians don't get killed or perm that often and unless you manage 2 in a match having the apoth is better. I don't have a problem with removing Decay as it may mean less people playing Chaos , Nurgle or CD.
  21. I have invited them both. Try again with the pro elves and if it doesn't work then accept with the woodies and sack a couple of linemen to get the TV down.
  22. You should have a Ticket now
  23. Yes I am sure people would rather play a match than just get an adminned win. Especially against a pro team that isn't going to have Claw MB , PO. Sign up to The OCC Tier 4 - Season 12 Division 4B and let me and @Smiling Tom know. We will accept you ASAP. You will be playing hlinic in MD5 if you can get the game arranged in time.
  24. The Norse team has signed up but we are still looking for 2 replacements.
  25. We are currently missing 3 teams in Tier 4. One who is definitely out and the other 2 haven't responded yet. The replacement team should have between 9 and 18 games played and a TV somewhere around 1500. The teams missing are nurgle * 2 and norse but since no games have been played yet we will take any race. The teams is not going to be eligible to continue the following season. It's just to give each coach a game each week of the season. Nothing more. Open to anyone not currently playing in Tier 4.
