Two more matches today.

 

The first one I should absolutely have won, but I did not. Up about lots of TV vs fairly unskilled chaos. It ended 1-1. I Think I had 6 double ones (including my first 3 catch rolls). I didn't play particularly well either, but hey.

 

The 2nd was against a good necro opponent. However, there's not much he can do when I get a blitz, get the ball and score on T1. Then we get a riot taking us back to turn 0. I'd quite like to start all games 1-0 up, even if it costs me a re-roll, before T1 begins. Three turns later I score again because he did fail to pick up my short kick. He has a long drive that comes down to 3+ 2+ with a re-roll to score (re-roll needed on the 2+). I score in two turns in the second half and he then scores back on T14. So, playing keep-out with 6 elves. He pow's both blitzers (re-roll needed on the ball carrier, and of course the 2nd worst bounce there was), but fails the pickup. He then would have had to make a long pass (possibly bomb) to his werewolf (I killed the other) with me possibly intercepting on 4+ and it was sunny.

So, 3-2.

2nd game: 2-0 vs dwarfs

2 more games, and two draws.

 

1-1 vs both Chaos Dwarf (black orc pickup in tz and dodge to score, no re-roll) and lizards.

 

Now, if this team could possibly keep out of the ko-box we'd be golden, but alas.

2-1 vs Pro elves. Opposing coach reported for being a tool.

2-0 vs Nurgle. Another TD for the black orcs.

They've now caused no casualities and scored two TDs. How to play blood bowl correctly etc

More nurgle, more win. 1-0 this time. MVP to a black orc and there was much rejoicing.

 

Still no useful Black orc stuff.

Some dark elves this time.

 

2-0 win.

 

Black orcs haul? Interception and TD. Still no casualities by them.

Match 9 vs chaos and I'm 400 TV down.

 

Black orcs end up being useless (as per normal).

Player of the match was Urgroth (yes, the chainsaw guy) with a key pass on T16 to tie the game. (Silliest TD yet).

 

I also had 6 double skulls (5 in the first half). Fun times.

Still, 1-1.

Game 10 vs Pro Elves.

 

Lost 1-3 after not being able to do anything what so ever.

Black orcs? Nothing.

I eagerly await the post where Black Orcs somehow win you the game.

The suspense is killing me.

They've won games by scoring (and intercepting). They're just shit at the task they're there to perform

 

Also, for some variance I've decided to play goblins as well.

 

First match vs humans. I couldn't succeed with anything, but somehow I stole a 1-1 draw.

2nd match vs Goblins and after not being able to do anything in the first half we get a 1-1 draw.

Had a go with the orcs.

Faced 300 TV less orcs. Ended up winning 1-0.

It was about as exciting as it sounds.

More goblins. Yet another 1-1 draw. This time it was against Khemri.

Orc game vs Chaos Dwarfs.

 

1-1 after he wrecks me with 1d blocks. 13 attempted, 7 knockdowns, 1 skull (last turn so pointless).

Black orcs? Still useless.

Goblins again this time vs Skaven.

 

He gets a blitz, I score anyway.

I get a blitz, he most likely would score T8 but the server has a blip and he can't reconnect so I get a win.

It has finally happened! Casuality by Black Orc. (They got 3 in fact).

 

The first one was on a 1d blitz on a st4 blodging ghoul naturally. My opponent wasn't as amused.

In fact he whined about dice through the game like any necro coach would

I got 4 cas from 8 armor breaks so that's very good. I did however get 1 out of 8 players back from ko and that's pretty bad.

He also had 92% on his dodges (which is the only reason he managed a draw in the first place.

Yes, yet another 1-1 draw.

The goblins had an outing as well.

 

Lost 3-1 to Skaven (gutter runners... grrr). Also, today my opponents have completed 33 out of 38 dodges (a fair amount into tacklezones) which is somewhat annoying. Me? Below average (orcs 3/7 and the gobbos had 64% didn't check numbers).

 

Now for the fun bits. We absolutely decimated the skaven team (apart from gutter runners of course) causing 7 cas (Charles the Clever got 4).

 

That means that both teams are now at 14 cas caused and the goblins did it in less than half the amount of matches. Pacifist orcs I tell you!

Orcs vs Lizards

 

GFI fiesta by me (22 attempts, 6 failures whereof 4 of them were to enter the opposing end zone).

Black orcs? Negative results. One dead (and the same one failed to gfi to score) and the rest did nothing. Well not true, one is mng'd.

 

A replacement lineorc died in T4 of his career as well. Good job!.

 

I did win though after he ran out of skinks.

The goblins had a match vs orcs.

 

The orcs would make any elf team envious of their ball handling (or bomb handling really) skills. 7 catches (most of them 4+ or worse) out of 7. 1 interception. 

He set me up for some really juicy bombs but what good does that do when the ball invariably scatters to him and he catches it?

He even induced Urgroth which felt silly, but he took out the ball&chain. He rolled almost twice the amount of block dice to me, I rolled more skulls.

 

It ended 1-2

The orcs had a completely uncompetitive match against another orc team that only wanted to throw goblins (team had 13 or 14 players. 1 troll, 4 gobbos and the rest linemen).

 

So we won 4-0 leveled 3 blitzers and the dirty player lineman.

Replacement Black Orc already shows more promise than the rest combined. 1 TD and 1 cas in his first game (then he ko'd himself on a gfi to get to the ball and score)

Goblins vs Brets.

 

He made 18 gfi's, 21 dodges (and had about average luck on them) and on the last turn intercepted my fancy long bomb play.

He gets a bribe and a dirty player lineman.

I get a blitz. Seems fair?

He concedes T6 when it's clear that he can't stop me from scoring (dice could though, as the ball was on the ground).

I win 1-0 and he complains just about the entire game
