Pidpad
Now that most of you have tried 2 minutes plus a pool of 7 minutes and 30 seconds it's time to get some feedback. This poll is advisory, not binding.
 Awards 4 3 3 2 4 2 2
Khornight
because of the clock rolling during animations, the 4 min clock is actually shorter than the bb2 3min turn times... on the turns you need more time it really is a problem, I imagine 3 mins is even harder... in bb2 the pauses for animations actually gave you a chance to think so even 1min turns weren't that fast, you just had to identify an early safe block and then use the time from the block to work out your turn. The answer is....turn off animations? Or longer turn times? I'm a fan of the shorter overall game time, but it would be a shame to lose animations. Wenteros
Biggest problem of strict timers (both 3 and 4 min) is that you get only 30 sec for ALL your decisions during opponent's turn. If you have several sidesteppers/fenders/standfirmers you may easily run out of time - and then your best player gets injured and apo is autoskipped due to you wasting your 30 sec bank on other decisions. Untill this timebank can be changed, competitive timer is the best option.
 Awards
Kristofer_B
The biggest win for BB3 is that it plays faster than BB2 due to the competetive clock. It is the only option.
 Awards 2
Rymdkejsaren
I may not play S1 for other reasons, but if the timer is anything other than competitive, I definitely won't. I don't have the time nor patience for matches that last several hours. I do wish they let you customise the length of the competitive timer. It seems like an obvious option to add. But Cyanide.
 Awards 2 4 2 2 3 2 2

"turning off animation" turns off the zooming in on specfic things like av breaks and tds... but the clock carries on rolling even when players are running around doing punches with animations off. You can actually queue actions in bb3, but it's hard to do with consistency, and most people don't.
 Awards 3

I don't think you are likely to have that as an excuse, looks pretty definitive that competative has won. personally I'd like to be able to see us edit the time bank, wouldn't mind making the bank longer. maybe even making the turn timer 0 and only giving people bank
 Pylon
Is this an in going discussion or are we stuck with 1:30 +7:30 for the future? I find this time limit is too quick & not enjoyable.
 Awards 2
Pidpad
It's 2:00 + 7:30, but yes. You are the first I know of that has raised the question so it doesn't seem to be a major problem for most.
 Awards 4 3 3 2 4 2 2
Pylon
Fair enough, I’ll see how things are at the end of the season but can’t see me enjoying this speed of play.
 Awards 2

It would take a minor adjustment to make it ok, like for example reset the time bank at half time or doubling it entirely, but with how it is right now I either find myself out of time quickly or I play hurriedly without really planning too much, which inevitably leads to messy play. Then there is the issue that if you eat up your cumulative 30 sec for decisions in the opponent's turn then time bank will be used until it's depleted ... and with the "wheel" being displayed where the action is rather than in the center of your screen it is too easy to eat up those 30 sec without even realising it. Also I get it that the vast majority prefer quick games, but the concept that with 4 min turns games last sensibly more is a bit of an exaggeration: in all my past BB experience I have very rarely exceeded 2 hours per game, which is not so different from the 1.5 hrs of the games I am playing now with competitive timer. cwctoby
Is it possible to extend to bank? Not by much, maybe up to 10 minutes?
 Awards

brocCooLi
if it was an option to change the time bank or to have time bank on 3/4 min turns then it would have been perfect. but the game is from cyanide...
 Awards 3 8 2 4 9
