  1. I've been playing this game like a madman!

If you like Blood Bowl you you really should enjoy this since there is positioning, risk/reward and lots of customization.

I've been playing an unhealthy amount, my advice is actually to not take much salvage so that you get to learn to play with the Light Mechs before you go Medium/Heavy!

  2. The day of the Final is here and MysticJon is still in the lead at 2737 in my list! Anyone above this value?

Last day is a gamble since all teams will play a different amount of games, think I'll hedge my bets!

  3. Congratulations to Mysticjon for having the most fantasy points after the group stage of TI 2017! (at least that is among the OCC people I have in my list)

  4. For some reason Creative Assembly did not show anything new when they were on the the PC Gaming Show @E3, however, they did reveal both Mazdamundi's Talent tree and ingame action in an YouTube@E3 interview afterwards. Be warned that the interviewer seems clueless about strategy games or PC gaming in general...

  5. Steam page updated, so you can prepurchase.

There is a pretty cool gif of a Golden dragon lifting up Gorak+Grimlock and slamming them to the ground!

Also there should be a CA section on the E3 PC Game Show at 20:00 CEST

I got Stellaris since it's $12 on the Humble Monthly bundle right now, and it seems to be pretty low on Micro.

If you have played both, how does HoI4 compare on the Micro front?

Sorry, haven't tried Stellaris yet (heresy I know).

I am interested in getting this game, but am unsure if i can devote the time to it. Is it a time sink?

I really think HoI IV is the paradox game that makes me most likely to actually complete a game! So in a sense it's a time sink, but on the other hand a lot of the micromanagement (except teching) is removed. Compared to HoI III where the really wakky production sliders and my optimization OCD forcing me to adjust them made that game take forever.

I would recommend getting it, but under the assumption you use the workshop mods. Because in the base game you  could get frustrated about not being able to create their desired divisions without spending the "army experience" currency, mods remove that limitation and others.

  8. As the very informative title suggests there will be a Campaigne mode in the Battle Pass for TI7.

As I understand it you can join as a group of 3 for some sort of PvE (only?) experience!

Anyone interested in grouping up and failing miserably in the name of the OCC?!

Regarding buildings. Afaik they patched something so maybe its different but basically what you do is:

    1. Build farm

    2. build mill 1 / farm 2

    3. build mill 2 / farm 3

    4. destroy mill / build industry

    5. build cellar 1 / industry 2

    6. build cellar 2 / industry 3

    7. destroy cellar 2 / build garrison

That gets you a village with t3 main, t3 farm, t3 industry and t2 garrison.

Thanks Nithon, but I really don't understand the ingame tooltips for Farms/Industry. For me mill3(?) gives hardly any advantage over Mill2, while it gives -100% Industry income for Industry, why would you ever want to do that? It's the same for the two Industry buildings. Perhaps the options appears extra confusing for cheaters like me who run with 10 building slots in capitals. The whole building part of Bretonnians feel really akward

That being said, I really like to outmanouver the AI, so Bretonnian cavalery brings tears to my eyes when they charge the back of enemy formations and make the opponents units fly through the air lol

Soo, business as usual for an AAA release: It's better to wait several months so they get it patched properly.

It doesn't feel like ME has much competition on the Sci-Fi RPG arena, so why rush out a game? Clearly the bug-fixing shouldn't require a 400 man team, so the extra time should not be that expensive.

  11. I'm in the beta, interesting but not as instantly addicting as many of the card games I love. Gwent lacks a bit of the synergies/combos that I enjoy attempting, the game feels a lot more like resource allocation with bluffing.

Trick the opponent to spend too many resources one round, or nullify their rows the last second. In that sense Gwent really is a tactical war cardgame where positioning and focus matters!

  12.  Hello all ya muppets!

I just tried the angst inducing game Oxygen Not Included from the creators of Don't Starve and thought you might enjoy it. You basically teleport 3 "humans" into an oxygen pocket in the middle of an asteroid, start digging out a base and try to make them survive. You'll need short/long-term solultions for oxygen and food production, water recycling, CO2 removal and many other things which can make your population stress out and wreck the whole base.

I actually didn't like Don't Starve, but this game focuses a lot more on base design and resources a la Bullfrog Simulators, Settlers and Startopia. This added control of the situation is matched with a higher difficulty where a silly amount of things can go wrong. As an example gases and liquids can penetrate several "layers" of walls if they are of the wrong material, so that poorly designed reservoir will soon be a mix of fresh water and chlorine! The game is in alpha (I seldom buy early) and suprisingly fun, but the lack of "higher tier" technology could lead to you hitting a wall where survivning becomes impossible.
