wismerhill Posted December 29, 2022 Author Share Posted December 29, 2022 after my ridiculous CiN win with UW vs Nurgle i was surprised, but dared to wonder if i had gotten back in Nuffle good grace.. my oppo had 300 inducements and took the holy trinity (bribe, babe wiz) the first shot i had at his BC was foiled by a snake eye on the leap but then he snaked a gfi, leaving his BC open for a 2die block which succeeded after a RR. the ball was loose!! next turn all i needed to do was pick up handoff (all 2+)and run, but i snaked the pickup. oppo turn he pushed someone onto the ball and it got in a orc blitzers hand, but he failed the dodge. so by then i finally pick it up on a 2+ and started to run. I ended my turn on a dubskull, so he had a shot at the BC, 2gfi and needed a pow (as i had taken out his only tackler on t2), so 1-0 at ht 2nd half started with a quick 2-0 getting a catcher to superstar on the next defence (8 vs10 players) the leap attack on the BC actually worked as did the pickup and pass so 3-0 by t13/14. I wasnt able to stop the orcs scoring their well deserved 3-1 at t16. so at last the team worked and did the stuff kislev can do.. 12 players, 3 tackle, 1 tackel MB for @Borke and his gobbos next MD (he will have 400 inducements, but hey..) Nuffle let me believe i had a shot at top 3 this season by giving me some nice wins. And right when I started to think about how to play vs gruff and tys to make things happen this MD6 shitshow comes to pass. oppo knock ut players left and right while i just get pushes. simple leaps fail. 4 players down by t3. 6 players out by t10 all on simple block most without MB. 8 fouls all with 3+ assist. 1 BH. 3 players left by t13 so theres that. no shot at top3 and facing gruff and tys next.. lets see whats left of the team by MD9 before i decide to reroll or quit Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options... Tys123 Posted January 23, 2023 Share Posted January 23, 2023 I am 2 points ahead in 3rd , playing 4th and 5th next and them am away for MD9 so getting a loss there. So beat me and the ogres in md9 and you will finish above me. So 3rd is possible even if you lose to Gruff. The dwarfs have to play the 1st place CD's which is a bad matchup against a good coach and the orcs have a mirror match. So orcs probably favourite for 3rd but you definitely have a shot. Smoke some of that pot your homeland is so famous for and enjoy the ride rather than the destination. Mikhail Kandinsky, my block MB tackle guard PO blitzer this season his stats are: 3 games 33 succesful blocks 27 injuries caused 11 causalties 2 kills all by himself he has been a great tribute to the teams results this season.. and this write up will surely mean he will die on MD4 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options... Even if i draw md 8 there is a chance ill win 3a However, theast 2 matches have seen an decline to my normal dice rolls, so i am not getting my hopes up very much. wismerhill Posted May 25, 2023 Author Share Posted May 25, 2023 Right, here we are in Tier 2 after somehow winning T3A last season... A division filled with orcs, chorfs, dorfs, norse and whatnot. Lets see how we do.. MD1: My oppo was away so i got an adminned win. One orc team down :) MD2: @strangefeller and his Humans. He bought a 13th player and still got the holy trinity of inducements (wiz, babe, bribe). We got to receive and started good by KO'ing 2 humans. Some back and forth blocking and fouling.. Well i was able to foul his killer blitzer with my BC in a difficult spot. I had the choice between scoring and fouling and then my DP got sent off, after MNG'ing said Blitzer. good trade. The ball was stolen, but retrieved so 1-0. T8 was a decent 1TTD attempt, but the pass failed. so 2nd half wizard still in play 11 vs 11 players (i had used my apo on the ag5 catcher somewhere in T3/4) I got a blitz, but failed the GFI, after a failed leap to mark the ball. Enough players were in the way to make positioning hard for the humans. I got the ball at one point, BC got zapped, ball was taken by humans, passed but failed. And then the ag5 catcher showed gratitude for getting apo'd. leap, 3 dodges, pickup in TZ and long pass got the ball away from my half, into the hands of another catcher. Unfortunately he was sacked as well while my leader catcher somewhere. But some leaps, blocks etc further it was still 2-0 2-3 turns left, some blocking and fouling and 2 2+ for the 3-0, but i rolled 1,2,1, so game ended 2-0 11 players, TV 1710. norse next, 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options... wismerhill Posted June 13, 2023 Author Share Posted June 13, 2023 md4 vs orcs. got outbashed (luckily just KO's 1st half) was able to score 1-1, but wasnt able to stop the 2-1. had 2 turns to tie, but was out of RR and Daka still had his wizard. luckily he made a pass after securing the ball. which was intercepted by my star Mikhail ( he had allready injured 4 orcs), so he ran in the 2-2 no real injuries so thats good. aiming for midtable this season so i can rebuild next season and then aim for t1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
